Basketball drills with cones are among some of the most physically demanding workouts your players can do. When done for extended periods, this intense physical exertion strengthens the muscles and enhances aerobic and anaerobic respiration in the muscle fibers.
How it Works. Beginning at one end, move through the cones, zig-zagging back and forth between each one, while performing a series of dribble moves. Crossover – dribble the ball from one hand to the other while changing direction between each cone. Inside Out Crossover – take one “fake” crossover dribble, pulling the ball in toward the middle of your body, then back out to the same side, while keeping the ball in the same hand.
Set up six cones about two feet apart from each other and perform a move at each cone! Do at least 5 down ... He is a great drill to work on your dribble moves!
